Are you a motivated .Net Developer looking to make an impact in a dynamic, hands-on IT environment?
ALS Coal is seeking a passionate and skilled professional—or a talented graduate ready to kickstart their career—to join our growing team at our Richlands facility in Brisbane.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a small, collaborative team of business and technical experts. You’ll be involved in both the development of new applications and the enhancement and support of specialised legacy systems across a diverse suite of technologies.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Play an active role in .NET development within a structured and supportive team environment.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, cost-effective software solutions.
- Work both independently and collaboratively, effectively managing priorities to meet project timelines.
- Support, maintain, and enhance both new and legacy applications within .NET/SQL Server and .NET/Oracle environments.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and deliver complete end-to-end solutions.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including programming, testing, deployment, and rollout, using tools such as Netscope.
- Self-manage tasks and align work with overall project goals and timelines.
- Produce clean, reliable, and maintainable code following established software development standards and methodologies.
The essentials - Experience or solid knowledge in C#, MVC, JQuery, JSON, Kendo, and webAPI
- Database knowledge in SQL Server or Oracle (training provided as needed)
- Strong understanding of software development best practices
- Willingness to support legacy code and systems (.Net 4.0/4.5 Web Forms, WCF, Telerik, AJAX)
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to contribute ideas and suggest improvements in a collaborative setting
- Diploma or Degree relative to IT
- 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role working with Databases ideally Oracle or similar
