Position: Graduate Traffic Engineer

Reports To: Senior Traffic Engineer

About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Traffic Engineer to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop core skills in traffic engineering while working closely with an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of traffic engineering assessment reports.
• Support in responding to queries from clients, councils, and other stakeholders, initially with guidance and progressively with more independence.
• Contribute to the planning, analysis, and documentation required for various traffic and transport-related projects.
• Develop strong knowledge of relevant standards, guidelines, and local council requirements.
• Gradually take responsibility for managing projects independently, while still having access to mentorship and support as needed.

Skills & Attributes No prior experience is required; however, the ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• A positive work ethic and willingness to learn and grow within the field of traffic engineering.
• Ability to work collaboratively and eventually operate independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline from Australian University.
