ABOUT POSITION:

• We’re looking for a Cyber Security Intern
• Our host company offers meaningful work experience, strong supervision, supportive work environment, and is planning to offer ongoing employment for the suitable candidate.

ABOUT YOU:
You must:

• be studying a relevant degree qualification or a recent graduate.
• have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
• have the necessary technical and soft skills to perform the job.
• be committed to a career in your field of study.
• be able to work at least 3 days per week.

• Skills Required
  • Basic knowledge of Cyber Security principles
  • Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Knowledge of tools like Wireshark, Nessus, or Metasploit (basic level)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn

  
LEARNING OUTCOMES:

• Understand Cyber Security Basics
  Gain knowledge of network security, risk management, and common threats like malware and phishing.
• Identify Security Vulnerabilities
  Detect system weaknesses and perform basic vulnerability assessments.
• Use Security Tools
  Work with tools like Wireshark, Nessus, and understand firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Monitor & Respond to Incidents
  Track security alerts and assist in incident response and reporting.
• Follow Security Standards
  Understand basic compliance and data protection practices.
• Develop Technical Skills
  Improve problem-solving and strengthen networking and system knowledge.
• Improve Communication
  Prepare reports and clearly communicate security findings.
• Gain Industry Exposure
  Understand real-world cybersecurity practices and teamwork.

The host company is located at Sydney
