About the role:
DBG is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant. The role involves resolving accounting issues, reconciling consolidation adjustments to the GL, and providing high-level explanations of consolidated balance sheet movements. The successful candidate will collaborate across departments, assist with audit requests, and respond to audit queries in a timely manner.
This position requires exceptional stakeholder relationships, deep understanding the entire Arrotex organisation, pharmaceutical and technical business acumen, accompanied by an entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive desire to do right by the organisation on a daily basis.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Completion of consolidated monthly / quarterly / annual result within agreed timeframe.
- Preparation and maintenance of consolidation adjustments.
- Identifying and resolution of transaction and accounting issues.
- Reconciliation of consolidation adjustments to the GL.
- Providing high level explanation of consolidated balance sheet movements
- Manage the accounting of and reporting leases under AASB16
- Foreign Currency (FX) revaluation of subsidiary ledgers where necessary.
Consolidated profit & lossConsolidated balance sheet
- Consolidated cash flow
- Draft monthly letter to our banks under the facility agreement with consolidated information as required
- Drafting of annual financial statements
- Help in the preparation of annual tax calculation and return to the ATO
- Other reporting as required
- Assist with developing and aligning of financial policies, procedures, systems, and processes.
- Ad-hoc reporting as required.
- Ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Assisting Finance Manager to compile all data to satisfy audit requests.
- Respond to all audit queries in a timely manner.
- Assisting Financial Reporting & Analysis to understand monthly results.
- Assisting the finance team where required to meet monthly reporting obligations.
- Reconciliations completed in timely manner.
- Variance / errors investigated, resolved and adjusted in a timely manner.
- Champion Arrotex Mission, Aims, Objectives and Values.
- Undertake duties in accordance with the Arrotex policies, procedures and guidelines.

Skills & Experience: - Ability to resolve accounting and finance issues through research and analysis.
- Sufficient knowledge to perform recurring financial duties with a reasonable degree of independence.
- Command knowledge to be a dependable resource of to the finance team.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., able to analyse large quantities of data, data sorts, VLOOKUP, PivotTables, filters, etc.)
- Ability to identify areas for improvement to ensure continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated flexibility and able to work with a small, committed team.
- Ability to form strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Robust technical accounting knowledge.
- Excellent / Advanced written, verbal and listening communication skills – produces well thought-out, professional written correspondence free of grammatical and spelling errors; speaks with confidence, clarity and is easily understood; active listening to effectively receive, interpret and analyse information.
- Demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on quality in all work and activities.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, etc.
- Skills and prior exposure to using financial software is preferred (e.g., Business Central or other similar platforms).
- Skills and prior exposure to Microsoft Power BI.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Account, Finance, or similar positions.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical or FMCG industry.
- Previous exposure and experience working through mergers or organisational changes.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification.
