Marketing Manager – Biologics

About the Role:
The Marketing Manager – Biologics will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Arrotex’s biologics strategy, overseeing the full branded marketing mix and portfolio P&L. This role is responsible for developing and implementing quarterly and annual brand plans, driving portfolio performance through data-driven insights, and delivering long-term growth across biosimilars, reference biologics, and specialised pharmaceutical therapies.
Working cross-functionally with internal teams, external business partners, and key industry stakeholders—including prescribers, pharmacists, and KOLs—you’ll lead strategic initiatives that influence prescriber behaviour, enhance patient outcomes, and support sustainable biosimilar adoption.
Success in this role will require strong leadership, a deep understanding of product and brand management, and the ability to inspire and collaborate across commercial and clinical teams. You will be instrumental in creating a high-performance culture built on trust, shared purpose, and a relentless drive for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development and execution of brand plans across the biologics and specialty medicines portfolio.
- Define brand positioning, equity, and go-to-market strategies, including retail pharmacy channel optimisation and expansion into new markets.
- Identify and capitalise on growth opportunities within existing and emerging biologics franchises.
- Drive strategic policy initiatives to enhance biosimilar uptake and sustainability, including supporting regulatory change, stakeholder engagement, and market access strategies.
- Drive stakeholder and KOL engagement to inform portfolio evolution and increase adoption of Arrotex’s offerings.
- Manage full brand lifecycle, ensuring strong financial and market performance, including ownership of the portfolio P&L, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Champion policy change initiatives to support biosimilar uptake, representing Arrotex with GBMA and other key industry bodies.
- Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with communication objectives and business goals.
- Leverage customer insights, market data, and competitor analysis to inform actionable marketing strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Medical, and external agencies to deliver effective educational and engagement programmes.
- Support retail pharmacy integration of biologics initiatives through close partnership with the Pharmacy Engagement Manager.
- Provide strong leadership and coaching to direct reports, supporting professional development and driving a high-performance culture.
- Ensure regular performance reviews and development planning for team members.
Key Requirements - Minimum 3 years' experience as a Marketing Manager or Senior Brand Manager within the pharmaceutical industry.
- At least 5 years' experience in product management and marketing of pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
- Proven track record in influencing policy change to support biosimilar adoption, including initiatives related to substitution/switching frameworks, stakeholder education, incentive structures, and sustainable procurement strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in both ATL and BTL marketing strategies.
- Proven track record in brand development, product launches, and new product development (NPD).
- Strong understanding of prescriber engagement and detailing within both specialist and general practice settings.
- Skilled in developing creative, media, and research briefs, and managing campaigns end-to-end.
- Comfortable managing both small and large budgets, with experience delivering high-volume projects to tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of the Medicines Australia (MA) and TGA Advertising Code.
- Tertiary qualifications in pharmacy, science, or a related field; pharmacy-specific education advantageous.
- Experience working cross-functionally and collaboratively across commercial, medical, and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing plans.
- Demonstrates resilience, adaptability, and initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all stakeholder interactions.
