About the role:
As Category Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving the success of VidaCorp’s Consumer Brands portfolio across all key retail and pharmacy channels. Acting as a critical link between internal teams and external customers, you’ll lead the planning and execution of brand and product launches, trade promotions, and activations. With a strong understanding of category drivers and market dynamics, you’ll influence all trade-related activity to support the growth of our brands and deliver commercial outcomes.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of Category Growth Platforms in collaboration with your manager
- Shape and execute 4P Category Success Model principles (Product, Price, Promotion, Placement) across priority categories
- Conduct detailed data modelling and analysis to uncover insights and opportunities
- Partner with the Sales and leadership team to build and maintain customer/brand activation calendars
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Brand, and Marketing teams to deliver impactful brand and product launches
- Take the lead on customer engagement initiatives, presenting category plans and new product opportunities to key retail partners
- Remain adaptable to take on broader portfolio responsibilities as the business evolves
Skills & Experience: - Tertiary qualification in Business discipline, Marketing and/or Project Management focus.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience across account management, brand management, trade marketing, or category strategy.
- Project management experience.
- Strategic and analytical skills.
- Experienced in engaging with senior stakeholders.
- P&L literacy.
- Forecasting and demand planning.
