INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT

SALARY RANGE: $90,000–$100,000

What Will You Do? - Prepare monthly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Overhead schedules)
- Post monthly journal entries, adjustments, and accruals
- Perform monthly reconciliations including prepaid accounts, accrued purchases, freight, and clearing accounts
- Complete HST/GST and QST reconciliations and remittances
- Analyze monthly expenses and investigate variances
- Prepare reporting packages and key financial ratios for leadership
- Assist with budgeting and annual forecasting
- Monitor fixed assets and post depreciation
- Review and resolve unusual COGS and inventory-related discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Process corporate income tax payments and investor loan interest
- Assist with coding and posting credit card transactions and collecting receipts
What Do You Bring? - Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Experience with reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- High attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or operations-based environments is an asset
