The Agriculture Technician will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining agriculture machinery.
Essential Job Functions
• Perform routine inspections on agriculture equipment to identify any mechanical, electrical, or other issues.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment using diagnostic tools and manuals.
• Conduct repairs on agricultural machinery, including engine, transmission, and hydraulic system repairs.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication to ensure
equipment operates efficiently.
• Identify and order necessary replacement parts and components for repairs.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory.
• Travel to farms and agriculture sites to perform on-site repairs and maintenance, as necessary.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment to oneself and others.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED, required.
• 3-5 years of heavy machinery technician experience, preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and agricultural equipment systems, including engines, hydraulics, and
electrical systems.
• Proficient in troubleshooting equipment issues and identifying root causes of problems.
• Ability to perform precise repairs and maintenance tasks with attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills to interact with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Resourcefulness and ability to think critically to find solutions to equipment problems.
