Director of Credit Risk
Salary up to $130K plus 10% bonus

Strategic Leadership

• Develop, implement, and enhance the organization’s overall credit risk strategy.
• Establish policies, standards, and governance to support effective credit risk management.
• Partner with senior leadership to align credit risk objectives with organizational goals.

Portfolio Oversight

• Monitor credit portfolios to assess performance, trends, concentrations, and emerging risks.
• Create and maintain reporting tools that evaluate credit quality and overall portfolio health.
• Provide insights and recommendations to strengthen credit performance across all product lines.

Risk Assessment & Controls

• Oversee evaluation and validation of credit risk models, scorecards, and decisioning systems.
• Ensure appropriate controls, documentation, and procedures are in place to support risk mitigation.
• Identify areas of elevated risk and escalate concerns to leadership as needed.

Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure credit risk activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
• Support internal audits, external reviews, and regulatory examinations.
• Maintain thorough documentation to demonstrate risk oversight and policy adherence.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team focused on risk analysis and portfolio management.
• Collaborate with internal partners to enhance risk practices and improve credit decision processes.
• Communicate complex findings clearly and effectively to executive stakeholders.

MUST HAVE Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, analytics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in credit risk management or a related analytical discipline.
• Strong understanding of credit principles, risk modeling, forecasting, and portfolio analytics.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.
