First National Bank of Omaha is looking to fill a Sr. Software Engineer position in Omaha, NE (May telecommute part of time from home residence in the Omaha, NE MSA). Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in Management Information Systems or a related field and 7 years' progressively responsible experience as a software developer, engineer, or related occupation. Experience must include the following specific skills and experience:

• 5 years' experience with programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, Node.js)
• 5 years' experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
• 5 years' experience with application monitoring and observability tools
• 5 years' experience with scripting and automation
• 5 years' experience working with cloud platforms and technologies
• 5 years' experience with cloud migration and deployment
• 5 years' experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows
• 5 years' experience with deployment automation
• 5 years' experience with agile development methodologies
• 5 years' experience with full software development lifecycle management
• 5 years' experience leading development efforts
• 3 years' experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS)
• 3 years' experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• 3 years' experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, Informix)
• 3 years' experience with testing frameworks (Jest, JUnit)
• 3 years' experience with performance testing tools like JMeter
• 3 years' experience mentoring junior developers
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
• Experience with serverless architectures and frameworks
• Experience implementing AI solutions using cloud-native platform

The Sr. Software Engineer develops the technical solutions. Collaborates with the Solutions Architect to update technical designs. Works with the Delivery Manager to ensure the correct technical tools are used effectively. Partners closely with Testers and Delivery Managers to ensure User Stories are refined and in a ready state for Sprint Planning. Works with Testers to resolve defects in a timely manner. Develops software according to standards and designs defined by the Solutions and Domain Architects. This includes writing code, and may include developing unit and functional-level automated tests and creating build and deployment scripts. Works with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions. Designs client-side and server-side architecture. Builds features and applications with a mobile responsive design. Designs and implements effective APIs. Tests software, both manual and automated, to ensure responsiveness and efficiency. Troubleshoots and debugs software. Creates security and data protection settings.
 
Compensation Range:  $134,992 - $148,215
