First National Bank of Omaha is looking to fill a Sr. Software Engineer position reporting to Omaha, NE (May telecommute from home residence within the Omaha, NE MSA part of time). Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in Computer Science or an IT-related field and five years' progressively responsible experience in the occupation or in a related IT field. Experience must include the following specific skills and experience.

- 5 years' experience with multiple back-end technologies (e.g., Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Node.js)
- 5 years' experience designing and developing backend services and microservices
- 3 years' proven experience with front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON)
- 3 years' experience with software design principles, CI/CD practices, and automated build processes (e.g., Maven, Google Cloud Build, Concourse)
- 3 years' experience working within an Agile/Scrum development methodology
- 3 years' experience with relational databases and SQL development
- 3 years' experience writing unit, integration, and incremental tests
- 2 years' experience with cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, and PCF, including infrastructure automation using Terraform
- Any amount of experience supporting application migrations to cloud environments (e.g., GCP, AWS).
- Availability to participate in on call rotation.
Responsible for collaborating with the Delivery team to ensure the solutions developed will deliver value and improve the quality of the software. This includes partnering with the Principal Architect, Lead Developer, Product Owner, and team members to define and deliver solutions. The Sr. Developer is responsible for providing software solutions to complex business problems and attending and participating in all Scrum ceremonies.
The Sr. Software Engineer will use Java and Spring framework to develop clean and effective APIs and microservices. Develop, maintain and modify user interfaces using JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React). Complete work independently and as a part of an Agile team to meet development schedules. Modify existing programs, prepare test data, participate in story refinement and grooming. Solve complex problems through innovative and creative solutions. Work with development teams and product owners to ideate software solutions. Serve as a technical mentor for peers, guiding developers to apply software patterns and principles. Technology Steward - Identify technology needs and work with Leadership to prioritize those needs with other business objectives. Ensure we are delivering on technology value in addition to business value. Troubleshoot and debug software. Participate in the team on-call rotation.
May telecommute from home residence within the Omaha, NE MSA part of time.
Compensation Range: $139,050 to $148,215
