Join a high-performing executive search firm where you'll partner on senior-level mandates & influence leadership hiring decisions.
This role may also be known as: Executive Search Consultant | Executive Recruiter | Search Principal
If you thrive in environments where no two searches are the same, where intellectual curiosity matters, and where your ability to solve complex hiring challenges is genuinely valued—this opportunity is worth exploring.
We’re hiring for a Consultant / Principal to join a highly respected executive search practice supporting entrepreneurial and high-growth organizations across North America. This is an opportunity to step into a visible, high-impact role where you’ll partner closely with senior leadership, contribute directly to search strategy, and play a key role in delivering exceptional client outcomes.
Unlike traditional agency recruiting roles focused solely on volume metrics, this position offers deep involvement in retained executive search assignments, strategic candidate assessment, and true partnership with clients on critical leadership hires.
What You'll Be Doing
• Lead and support full-cycle executive search assignments across diverse industries and geographies
• Build candidate pipelines and map target markets from scratch
• Qualify, assess, and present senior-level candidates throughout the search process
• Conduct structured reference checks and candidate development activities
• Manage candidate and client relationships through the full search lifecycle
• Partner with internal assignment teams to execute against project milestones and deadlines
• Contribute creative sourcing and search strategies for complex mandates
• Support cultural assessment and leadership advisory initiatives as needed
• Ensure excellence across all client and candidate-facing deliverables
What We're Looking For
• Direct experience working within a recruitment agency, retained search firm, or executive search environment
• Proven full-cycle recruitment/search execution experience from sourcing through placement
• Experience building candidate pipelines and mapping talent markets from scratch
• Strong referencing and candidate assessment experience
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
• Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Undergraduate degree required
• Excellent communication, judgment, and relationship management skills
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, project-based environment
