Event Security Guard – Courtland, Ontario | One-Day Assignment, $22/hour
The Opportunity
We're recruiting on behalf of a client that runs large-scale obstacle course and endurance events — the kind that draw thousands of participants and spectators to venues across the region. This isn't a desk job or a long-term contract; it's a chance to step onto an active event site for a single day, be part of a small security team, and walk away having earned solid pay for straightforward, meaningful work.
You'll be responsible for keeping the event's basecamp area secure — the space where valuable equipment and gear is staged for the day — while staying alert, professional, and approachable with the public around you.

What You'll Be Doing
- Maintain surveillance of the basecamp area containing valuable equipment and assets throughout the event day
- Direct local traffic and non-staff members away from the basecamp area
- Stay alert and watchful for theft or suspicious activity at all times
- Communicate effectively with event staff and report any incidents or concerns
What We're Looking For - Ability to work weekends and stand for long hours, potentially in inclement weather
- Ability to stay focused, aware, and alert throughout a full shift
- Comfortable approaching and politely redirecting members of the public
- High work ethic and integrity
- Observant, with strong attention to detail
- Friendly yet assertive communicator, comfortable working independently
Compensation & Work Model $22.00 per hour. Onsite, single-day assignment (approximately 9.75 hours). Payment issued via bank transfer upon completion of onboarding.
Location & Travel Courtland, Ontario. Candidates must be willing and able to travel to the event venue.
