Production Supervisor – Metal Fabrication Manufacturing
This is a floor leadership role for someone who wants ownership, not oversight from a distance. You'll be the person production runs through — accountable for safety, quality, delivery, and cost, with the authority to make real decisions in the moment.
It's a high-volume, high-mix metal fabrication environment, which means no two days look the same. You'll work directly with plant leadership and partner across Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to keep operations moving, while driving continuous improvement initiatives that actually get implemented.
This is also a people-development role. You'll train, coach, and manage a team of hourly production employees, with real input into their growth and performance — not just their schedules.
Why This Opportunity Is Different:
Unlike supervisory roles where you're buried in administrative tasks, this one keeps you on the floor and close to the work. You'll have direct access to plant leadership, real exposure to cross-functional projects, and a genuine voice in continuous improvement — not just execution of someone else's plan. It's a stable, established operation with room to grow into broader plant leadership over time.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Own daily production outcomes across safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
- Execute production schedules and keep workflow, staffing, and equipment running at full efficiency.
- Build a culture of safety accountability and consistent quality on the floor.
- Spot and resolve production issues before they escalate, looping in leadership when needed.
- Drive continuous improvement — reducing waste and improving process efficiency.
- Partner with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to keep operations moving.
- Train, coach, and develop hourly employees into stronger performers.
- Manage attendance, scheduling, and shift coverage for your team.
- Lead performance conversations and provide input on development and discipline.
- Keep production reporting and documentation accurate and current.
What We're Looking For: - High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree a plus.
- Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience.
- Direct experience supervising hourly production employees.
- Comfort operating in a high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Experience with production reporting systems; SAP experience a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Compensation & Work Model: Compensation is competitive and will be discussed during the screening process. This is an onsite role based on the production floor.
Location & Travel: Based in Terrell, Texas.
