Accounting Support $25.00–$27.00/hour | Full-Time | Onsite
TAPP Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounting Support professional to join our client’s team at Innisfil, ON. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation, excellent attention to detail, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
You’ll support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and audit preparation while working closely with the Financial Controller and cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do
- Process and record daily financial transactions accurately and on time
- Verify that company procedures are followed when recording financial transactions
- Maintain and balance financial records using manual and computerized systems
- Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare trial balances for all legal entities
- Maintain general ledgers and prepare financial reports as required
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Monitor account status and assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Assist with monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and government remittances
- Support annual and government audits by providing required documentation and data
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient financial processing
- Maintain organized financial records and a professional, team-oriented work environment
- Support department goals and contribute to a positive workplace culture
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Financial Controller
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related financial role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is required
- Experience with older versions of Sage accounting software is a strong asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
Compensation
$25.00–$27.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
