Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in East London, are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their delivery of technology operations.         

Position: IT Project Manager
Rate: £500 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (Oct 2026) Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• Lead and Manage the delivery of Technology Roadmap projects with focus on Modern Workplace - M365 Identity, Endpoint and SharePoint online.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Co-ordinate cross-functional teams & Stakeholders.
• Ensure M365 best practices and compliance.
• Provide regular governance reporting to the Modern Workplace Board, including progress updates, delivery status, and key decisions required.
• Ensure all outputs comply with organisational governance, architecture standards, and programme requirements, working closely with architecture and programme leadership.
• Oversee the delivery of Modern workplace activities, ensuring high level of end user adoption and transition to service.
• Support decision-making and escalation processes, providing clear recommendations and facilitating resolution of complex delivery issues.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Experienced with navigating project governance, (Develop project plans, timelines and budgets).
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
