Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, based in Southampton, are looking for an experienced Schools Pfi Expiry Project Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their Contracting and Procurement operations. 

Position: Schools Pfi Expiry Project Manager
Rate: £30.91 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (March 2027) Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: Hybrid 

Purpose:

• Lead and coordinate all aspects of expiry planning and preparation and deliver early activity for the expiry of the Schools PFI contract.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and execution of the expiry of the Schools PFI to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and adherence of best practice.
• Develop (including obtaining stakeholder approval) and maintain a plan for the expiry of the Schools PFI contract in a manner which protects the Council’s service, financial and commercial interests and lead the delivery of relevant expiry related activities.
• Manage risks, change controls, and programme governance to meet milestones and mitigate operational or commercial exposure.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or professional experience.
• At least 5 years’ experience in contract management, procurement or a commercial service delivery role.
• Knowledge of PFI contracts and their operation.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
