Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Mental Health Qualified Social Worker (AMP) to join their team based in London.

• PAY RATE: £30- £35 per hour
• WORK TYPE: Temporary

JOB SUMMARY
The Social Worker / AMP will be part of a multi-disciplinary team where members work closely with each other to provide an excellent service. The post holder will have a vital role in the team to embed social care and to deliver a high-quality service that is sensitive to the needs of our service-users and careers.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:  

• The post holder is expected to demonstrate leadership in relation to the social care agenda within the team, to hold a full caseload, and complete comprehensive assessments of need, risk management and a recovery approach to service-users with substance misuse issues. As an integrated team there are lots of opportunities to share practice, learn together and develop new ways of working.
• The post holder will participate in regular professional supervision with the Senior Social Worker. This will be with a view to ensuring continued professional development, and also to receive supervision for any statutory work undertaken as part of the community care Act, Mental Health or Mental Capacity Act.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Recognised professional Social Work qualification (Degree/Masters/Post Graduate Diploma/Social Work fast track qualifying programme)
• Current Social Work England registration
• Mental health Approved practitioner
