Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Northwest London, are looking for an experienced Street Works Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their highways management operations.    

Position: Street Works Officer
Rate: £25.36 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (October 2025) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• The post-holder will be expected to assist with the planning, control and co-ordination of the New Roads and Street Works Act function.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Manage and coordinate works under NRSWA 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, and the National Permit Scheme.
• Assess, grant, or refuse permits in a timely manner and issue FPNs as required under the Permit Scheme.
• Attend meetings with Statutory Undertakers, MPs, elected members, and other stakeholders on matters related to NRSWA.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Street Works Officer role or equivalent.
• LANTRA 12D Accredited -Traffic Management design.
• NRSWA Accredited to Supervisor Level.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
