Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Street Cleansing Service Lead to join their team and play a crucial role in their street cleansing operations.   

Position: Street Cleansing Service Lead
Rate: £33 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (6 Months) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• Responsible for the strategic management for the Street Cleansing Services and Pest Control Services and be the main contact to ensure delivery and maintenance, and support for the service objectives borough wide.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Street Cleansing and Pest Control Services’ activities including maintenance programmes, managing and monitoring maintenance expenditure, recharging of completed works, scheduling works and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders/partners.
• Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining regular communication formats and forums to ensure all Street Cleansing Service and Pest Control staff are kept informed of current operational matters, service priorities and best practice, ensuring staff are involved in the improvement of the service.
• Manage and lead on the maintenance programme for all Street Cleansing & Pest Control Service vehicles and equipment, including COSHH in preparation for all major borough incidents including necessary record keeping.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Street Cleansing Service Lead role or equivalent.
• Relevant professional qualification or 5+ years recent and relevant experience.
• NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification including COSHH Management.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
