Position: Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector
Location: Oman
Duration: 3 years
Leave Cycle: 3 months working and 1 month leave
 
Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct inspections and quality checks on electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and standards.
2. Review and interpret electrical and instrumentation engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
3. Monitor and inspect installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems, including cabling, wiring, panels, and field instruments.
4. Ensure proper implementation of PDO Standards/Specifications in all electrical and instrumentation works.
5. Identify and report any non-conformities or deviations from project requirements and recommend corrective actions.
6. Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation of findings.
7. Verify compliance with hazardous area classifications and ensure proper installation of Ex-rated equipment.
8. Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure quality assurance.
9. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards during all electrical and instrumentation activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Education:
   • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector, OR
   • Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector.
2. Experience:
   • Minimum 5 years of experience in implementing PDO Standards/Specifications.
3. Certifications (Preferred):
   • Ex Inspector Certification (related to hazardous area equipment inspection).
4. Skills:
   • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, inspection techniques, and testing procedures.
   • Familiarity with PDO Standards/Specifications.
   • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
   • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
   • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
