Job Title: Wind Turbine Inspector - Installation / Commissioning (6.2 MW)
Location: Morocco
Contract Duration: 7 Months

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Wind Turbine Inspector to perform inspection and quality control activities during the installation and commissioning stages of 6.2 MW wind turbines. The candidate will ensure that all installation activities are executed according to project specifications, OEM standards, and international quality and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities Installation Inspection

• Inspect foundation readiness and anchor bolt alignment prior to tower installation.
• Verify tower section erection, flange connections, and bolt torque procedures.
• Monitor nacelle installation and alignment.
• Inspect hub and blade installation activities.
• Witness torque tightening and tensioning of critical bolts.
• Monitor heavy lifting operations and crane activities during turbine assembly.
• Verify cable routing, earthing, and electrical connections.

Mechanical Inspection

• Verify gearbox installation and alignment.
• Inspect main shaft and rotor assembly installation.
• Check hydraulic systems and lubrication systems.
• Inspect blade pitch system installation.

Electrical Inspection

• Inspect generator installation and connections.
• Verify power cable termination and routing.
• Check transformer and switchgear installation.
• Inspect SCADA system and turbine control system installation.

Commissioning Activities

• Conduct pre-commissioning inspections.
• Witness functional testing of:
  • Yaw system
  • Pitch control system
  • Braking system
  • Safety and protection devices
• Support grid synchronization and turbine trial operation.

Quality & Documentation

• Review Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with OEM standards from companies such as Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, or GE Renewable Energy.
• Prepare inspection reports, punch lists, and non-conformance reports (NCR).
• Verify as-built documentation and quality records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in wind turbine installation / inspection.
• Strong knowledge of turbine erection and commissioning procedures.
• Familiarity with International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) wind turbine standards.

Preferred Certifications

• GWO (Global Wind Organization)
• Working at Height
• NDT Level II (preferred)
