Positions: Inspectors (Welding, Coating and E & I)
 
Location: Middle East
 
Duration: 12 months

Welding Inspector

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspection and verification of welding activities in compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Records.
• Monitor pre-welding, welding, and post-welding operations to ensure quality compliance.
• Perform dimensional checks and visual inspection of welds.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain documentation for quality records.

Requirements:

• Certification: CSWIP 3.2 (Senior Welding Inspector) or CSWIP 3.1 (Welding Inspector).
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in heavy offshore structures.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and NDT requirements.
• Familiarity with offshore fabrication yard practices and quality systems.

Coating Inspector

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and verify all surface preparation and coating activities (blasting, priming, painting) as per project specifications and standards.
• Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point) before and during coating application.
• Conduct Dry Film Thickness (DFT) checks and adhesion tests.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and mixing of coating materials.
• Review coating procedures and verify qualifications of coating applicators.

Requirements:

• Certification: NACE Level 2 (or equivalent such as SSPC or FROSIO).
• Experience in offshore structure coating, blasting, painting, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of coating materials, standards, and inspection tools.
• Minimum 5–8 years’ relevant coating inspection experience (offshore fabrication projects preferred).

Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector

Responsibilities:

• Inspect electrical and instrumentation installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and international standards.
• Monitor installation, testing, and pre-commissioning of electrical equipment, cabling, grounding, lighting, and control systems.
• Verify calibration of instruments, sensors, and control devices.
• Review and ensure correctness of test packs, loop checks, and inspection reports.
• Identify non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.

  Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in offshore/onshore oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, instrumentation, and calibration procedures.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, and other international electrical/instrumentation standards.
• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation (preferred).
