ABOUT POSITION:

• We’re looking for a Structural Engineering Intern.

ABOUT YOU:
You must:

• be studying a relevant degree qualification or a recent graduate.
• have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
• have the necessary technical and soft skills to perform the job.
• be committed to a career in your field of study.
• have knowledge of sustainable design practices.
• be familiar with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
• be proficient in structural design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, or similar tools).
• have experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
• be able to work at least 3 days per week.

  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, analyze, and review structural components and systems for buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, codes, and regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver integrated project solutions.
• Use engineering software tools for modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Identify risks and propose cost-effective and sustainable design solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when required.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and client presentations.

 
 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience in structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
• Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
