ABOUT POSITION:
We’re looking for a Structural Engineering Intern.

ABOUT YOU: You must:
be studying a relevant degree qualification or a recent graduate.
have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
have the necessary technical and soft skills to perform the job.
be committed to a career in your field of study.
have knowledge of sustainable design practices.
be familiar with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
be proficient in structural design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, or similar tools).
have experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
be able to work at least 3 days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, analyze, and review structural components and systems for buildings and infrastructure projects.
Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, codes, and regulations.
Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver integrated project solutions.
Use engineering software tools for modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Identify risks and propose cost-effective and sustainable design solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when required.
Prepare reports, documentation, and client presentations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience in structural design and analysis.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
