We are seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant Intern (AI-Focused) to join our 12-week professional internship program, where you will gain hands-on experience in accounting, business automation, customer service, and digital systems using cutting-edge AI technologies.

You will learn how modern businesses are using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to automate accounting workflows, improve customer service, streamline administration, and enhance marketing performance.
 
About the Internship
This 12-week internship is designed to provide practical, industry-relevant experience while helping you become productive in a modern accounting and business environment.

You will work alongside experienced professionals and receive exposure to real business processes while learning to utilise powerful AI and automation tools such as:

• ChatGPT – for accounting support, report writing, communication, data analysis and business productivity
• Claude AI – for document analysis, financial summaries and workflow assistance
• Zapier – for workflow automation and integration between accounting and business systems
• AI-powered CRM and customer communication tools
• Business automation systems for marketing and customer engagement

  Key Responsibilities Accounting & Finance Support

• Assisting with accounts payable and receivable
• Bank reconciliations and financial data entry
• Supporting payroll administration and invoice processing
• Assisting with bookkeeping and financial reporting
• Helping prepare financial spreadsheets and business reports
• Supporting BAS, expense reconciliation and accounting administration
• Supporting tax preparation for individuals, SMSF, sole traders, partnerships, and companies

AI & Automation Projects

• Assisting in automating accounting and administrative workflows using AI tools
• Learning how to use ChatGPT and Claude AI to improve productivity and reporting
• Supporting workflow automation through Zapier integrations
• Helping improve operational efficiency by reducing repetitive manual tasks
• Assisting with AI-powered process documentation and standard operating procedures

Customer Service & Business Support

• Supporting customer enquiries and communication systems
• Assisting with CRM updates and client engagement workflows
• Helping automate follow-ups and customer communication using AI tools

Marketing Support

• Assisting with content creation using AI tools
• Supporting email marketing and customer engagement campaigns
• Helping automate lead nurturing and business communications

  What We Are Looking For

• Studying or recently completed a qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, or related field
• Sound Knowledge of ChatGPT, Claude and Zapier
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence, automation, and digital transformation
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
