ABOUT POSITION:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator Intern with a background in Architecture, Construction Management, or related fields to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, bid proposals, and budget analyses for construction and interior projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical understanding of construction drawings, materials, project execution methods, and pricing strategies.

ABOUT YOU:
You must:

• be studying a relevant degree qualification or a recent graduate.
• have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
• have the necessary technical and soft skills to perform the job.
• be committed to a career in your field of study.
• be able to work at least 3 days per week.

  
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for architectural, interior, and construction projects.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs and material estimations.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Prepare bid submissions and support tender documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, and procurement teams.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to assess project conditions.
• Monitor market rates and maintain updated cost databases.
• Assist in budget planning, value engineering, and cost control measures.
• Identify project risks and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure estimates comply with company standards and project requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and architectural detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in estimation and drafting software such as:
  • AutoCAD
  • MS Excel
  • Bluebeam
  • Planswift
  • Revit (preferred)
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience in commercial, residential, or interior fit-out projects.
• Knowledge of local construction codes and market pricing.
• Familiarity with procurement and contract administration.
• Experience with ERP or project management software is an advantage.
• Certification in quantity surveying or project management is a plus.
