ABOUT POSITION:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator Intern with a background in Architecture, Construction Management, or related fields to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, bid proposals, and budget analyses for construction and interior projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical understanding of construction drawings, materials, project execution methods, and pricing strategies.

be studying a relevant degree qualification or a recent graduate.

have the necessary technical and soft skills to perform the job.
be committed to a career in your field of study.
be able to work at least 3 days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for architectural, interior, and construction projects.
Review architectural drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
Perform quantity take-offs and material estimations.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Analyze labor, material, equipment, and overhead costs.
Prepare bid submissions and support tender documentation.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, and procurement teams.
Conduct site visits when necessary to assess project conditions.
Monitor market rates and maintain updated cost databases.
Assist in budget planning, value engineering, and cost control measures.
Identify project risks and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Ensure estimates comply with company standards and project requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and architectural detailing.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Proficiency in estimation and drafting software such as:
AutoCAD
MS Excel
Bluebeam
Planswift
Revit (preferred)
Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience in commercial, residential, or interior fit-out projects.
Knowledge of local construction codes and market pricing.
Familiarity with procurement and contract administration.
Experience with ERP or project management software is an advantage.
Certification in quantity surveying or project management is a plus.
