About the Opportunity

Our client, a reputable engineering consultancy based in Smithfield, is offering a Geotechnical Engineering Internship designed for students and recent graduates seeking practical industry exposure in civil and geotechnical engineering.

This structured placement provides valuable hands-on experience across site investigations, soil testing, and engineering reporting within real project environments across Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with site investigations and soil sampling activities
• Support engineers in geotechnical testing and data analysis
• Participate in fieldwork and site inspections
• Contribute to preparation of technical reports and documentation
• Observe and assist in foundation and ground stability assessments
• Maintain adherence to workplace health and safety procedures

Candidate Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Civil Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering
• Basic understanding of soil mechanics and engineering fundamentals
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to travel to site locations (driver's licence preferred)
