ABOUT POSITION:

• We’re looking for a Web Development Intern.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in ongoing projects within a collaborative team environment, shadowing a senior web developer and implementing solutions under supervision.
• Develop and maintain websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.
• Conduct data analysis by researching, reviewing, and evaluating website performance, and providing structured feedback and actionable recommendations.
• Receive training to perform Digital Health Checks, enabling business owners to make informed, data-driven decisions. This involves analysing publicly available company information to evaluate a business’s online presence, including technical performance, design, content, and branding.
• Undertake SEO training and collaborate with the marketing team to implement both on-page and off-page strategies, including keyword-focused content optimisation.
• Implement and manage tracking codes and tags using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console.
• Ensure websites are responsive, mobile-friendly, and optimised for various devices and browsers.
• Work with content management systems (CMS) including WordPress, Shopify, and other platforms to create, update, and manage website content.
• Contribute to development and improvement projects as assigned by management.
• Provide effective Incident Management support, working closely with resolver groups to ensure efficient Problem Management.
• Identify opportunities to optimise system performance and recommend improvements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company technologies to provide effective technical support.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve performance targets and enhance overall productivity.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently enrolled in, or have completed, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Web Development-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Reliable internet connection to support remote work.
• Advanced proficiency in WordPress, including theme customisation and plugin development.
• Strong understanding of on-page and off-page SEO strategies and their implementation.
• Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and others.
• Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console.
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn and apply new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with graphic design tools and design principles is an advantage.

LOCATION:
The host company is located at Melbourne.
