Job Description: Accounting Intern
Location: Perth, WA
Position Type: Unpaid Internship (3 months) Opportunity to lead to full-time employment depending on performance.

Position Summary:
As an Accounting Intern, you will work closely with seasoned professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and support our commitment to delivering high-quality accounting services. You will learn about various aspects of accounting, including financial reporting, bookkeeping, tax preparation, and compliance, while gaining insights into industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets under the supervision of senior accountants.
• Collaborate with team members to analyze financial data and performance metrics.
• Contribute to bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions and reconciling accounts.
• Participate in tax preparation and compliance activities as needed.
• Support the organization of workshops and events related to accounting standards and financial management.
• Engage in research activities focused on emerging accounting tools and industry developments.
• Comply with workplace protocols and adhere to ethical accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a passion for accounting.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and practices, including financial reporting and bookkeeping.
• Proficient in data analysis tools and accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in preparing reports and presentations.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Knowledge of ethical accounting standards and compliance is advantageous.
