Web Developer Intern - Melbourne

About the Opportunity
A growing organisation operating in the technology and consulting sector is seeking a motivated Web Developer Intern to join its development team.
This role offers hands-on experience working on real-world web applications and enterprise platforms used by established organisations across Australia and New Zealand. You will work alongside experienced developers and business professionals in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and enhancement of web applications
• Support front-end and/or back-end development tasks
• Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code
• Participate in testing, debugging and troubleshooting
• Support platform improvements and feature releases
• Assist with version control and deployment processes
• Contribute ideas to improve system performance and user experience

About You
Essential:

• Currently studying or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Understanding of core web development principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines

Desirable:

• Exposure to modern frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue or similar)
• Basic understanding of APIs and databases
• Familiarity with Git/version control
• Awareness of Agile development environments
