Job title: CNC Machining Operator
Location: Bridgeview, IL
Salary: $24–$25/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 4:30PM–3:00AM
Overtime Fridays (2:00PM–10:00PM) as needed

Our client, a well-established precision manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced CNC Machining Operator to join their 2nd shift team. This role involves operating CNC equipment from setup through production to manufacture high-quality metal components.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a skilled machinist who can work independently, maintain tight tolerances, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• Perform machine setups and operate CNC equipment including mills and lathes
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T specifications
• Select and secure tooling, fixtures, and materials
• Calculate and adjust speeds, feeds, coolant flow, and cutting depths
• Monitor machine performance and adjust controls as needed
• Inspect finished components to ensure specifications and tolerances are met
• Support continuous improvement efforts for quality and cost efficiency
• Assist with preventative maintenance and minor repairs
• Follow safety standards and company procedures

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of CNC machining experience
• Completion of machinist apprenticeship or equivalent training preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Experience holding close tolerances and performing inspections
• Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and tool geometry
• Experience with Mori Seiki, Okuma, or Haas machines is a plus
• Programming experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Team-oriented and willing to work overtime as needed
• Must be able to speak and understand English
