TAPP Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Sonographer to join our client in Whitecourt AB! Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Sonographer role located in Whitecourt, AB. The Sonographer will perform diagnostic medical ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate diagnostic outcomes. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, explaining examinations, operating imaging equipment, and collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals. The Sonographer will also adhere to best practices for safety and patient care while maintaining detailed and accurate records of procedures.
Qualifications
- Formal education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or an equivalent accredited program
- Certified and registered with Sonography Canada. The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is optional.
- Have at least 1 year of clinical experience.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to ultrasound procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in the use of ultrasound equipment and related software
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
