If you're the technician others turn to when systems refuse to cooperate, this role will feel like home.
Our client is building a highly skilled debug team responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex failures within enterprise server hardware used in modern data center environments. These are not basic repairs — this role focuses on deep technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and precision diagnostics on high-value electronics.
You’ll work with advanced diagnostic equipment, collaborate directly with engineering teams, and help solve complex system failures that impact large-scale technology infrastructure.
Why This Opportunity Is Different Many technician roles stop at replacing parts. This role goes far deeper.
You will work at the component and system architecture level, diagnosing failures in high-performance server hardware using sophisticated tools and diagnostic data. The team operates in a high-skill technical environment, where technicians collaborate closely with engineers and have real influence on troubleshooting processes and failure analysis.
You’ll also gain exposure to advanced server architectures, power systems, and high-speed digital interfaces, building expertise that is highly valued across the electronics and data center industries.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform advanced board-level troubleshooting and component-level debug on complex multilayer PCBAs used in server and data center systems
- Diagnose failures across CPU, GPU, FPGA, ASIC, memory, and power subsystems
- Analyze POST codes, BIOS logs, diagnostic utilities, and boundary scan results to isolate root causes
- Use advanced diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and automated test platforms
- Execute precision debug and rework of complex components including BGAs with X-ray verification
- Perform root cause failure analysis and identify systemic failure trends
- Work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and refine debug methodologies
- Create and maintain debug guides, troubleshooting documentation, and diagnostic workflows
- Track yield performance, repair cycle times, and failure trends to support continuous improvement
- Mentor junior technicians and help build a strong technical troubleshooting culture
What We’re Looking For - 3+ years of experience debugging complex electronics such as servers, networking hardware, or storage systems
- Strong troubleshooting ability at the board and component level
- Ability to read and interpret detailed electrical schematics and PCB layout files
- Experience using advanced diagnostic equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, protocol analyzer, etc.)
- Experience diagnosing high-speed digital circuits and mixed-signal systems
- Familiarity with server architectures, memory systems, and power distribution
- Strong analytical and root cause problem-solving skills
- Ability to document findings and support structured debug processes
Preferred Experience - Server power architecture including VRMs and power sequencing
- DDR memory debugging
- PCIe and high-speed interconnect troubleshooting
- Experience working with high-value enterprise electronics
Compensation & Work Model - Competitive pay: $25-$28 depending on experience
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Onsite: Memphis, Tennessee (South East Memphis)
What you'll receive for the great work you provide: - Full range of medical, dental, and vision plans
- Life Insurance
- Short-term and Long-term Disability
- Matching 401(k) Contributions
- Vacation and Paid Sick Time
- Tuition Reimbursement
