Business Development Manager USA
(Player-Coach | VP Potential)
The Business
LOC USA (usaloc.com) is the U.S. division of LOC International, a hospitality-focused company with over 35 years of experience designing, manufacturing, and distributing technology, equipment, and in-room solutions for the hotel industry. Our portfolio includes guest room technology, televisions, appliances, safes, keycards, amenities, and operational products sold directly to hotel brands, management companies, ownership groups, cruise lines, and large independent operators.
We operate as a distribution-driven business, working closely with manufacturers, partners, and channels to deliver scalable, reliable solutions across the U.S. hospitality market. Growth is fueled by strong brand relationships, owned product lines, distribution partnerships, and a clear opportunity to expand recurring revenue.
The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager USA who will act as a true player-coach. This role requires someone who personally carries a revenue target, owns their pipeline, and is directly accountable for results, while also demonstrating the leadership capability to help build and scale the U.S. business over time.
This is not a support role and not a purely strategic role. The successful candidate must be comfortable carrying their own load, leading from the front, and being measured on tangible revenue outcomes.
Core Mandate
The Business Development Manager USA will:
- Carry a clearly defined individual sales quota and be fully accountable for achieving it
- Personally generate, manage, and close business from prospecting through execution
- Own their territory, pipeline, and forecast with discipline and accuracy
- Bring a high-level hunter mentality with the ability to originate and close business all the way up to the C-suite level
- Act as a trusted commercial leader capable of engaging senior stakeholders and influencing buying decisions
- Contribute to the development of the broader U.S. growth strategy while delivering individual results
Revenue Ownership and Accountability This role requires full ownership of revenue performance:
- Build and maintain your own pipeline
- Consistently meet or exceed assigned targets
- Be measured on closed revenue, pipeline quality, and forecast accuracy
- Execute strategy directly rather than relying on others to do so
Player-Coach Expectations - Lead from the front through strong personal sales performance
- Set the standard for urgency, professionalism, and follow-through
- Support and mentor other business development resources as they are added, without diluting personal revenue responsibility
- Demonstrate readiness for broader leadership by delivering results first
Key Responsibilities - Identify, engage, and close new business with hotel brands, management companies, ownership groups, and large independent operators
- Manage the full sales cycle and maintain accurate CRM reporting
- Lead key deals, negotiations, and strategic partnerships personally
- Promote and grow LOC-owned brands and partner solutions
- Support expansion of distribution and recurring-revenue initiatives
Profile and Experience - Proven experience engaging hotel brands, management companies, ownership groups, and large independent operators, combined with deep knowledge of guest room technology, appliances, and amenities
- Preference will be given to candidates who are already selling into the hotel industry and bring an established network of relationships
- Experience with distribution-based businesses is important, as this role involves moving physical products at scale, managing channel dynamics, and understanding how to win and protect deals in a competitive distribution environment
- Strong background in B2B business development or complex solution selling
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to executive and operational audiences
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable operating autonomously
- Willingness to travel regularly across the U.S.
Growth Path and Leadership Potential This role is designed for someone who wants to earn their way into senior leadership. Progression to Director or VP-level roles will be based on consistent individual revenue performance, ability to scale impact beyond personal production, and leadership maturity.
