Quality Assurance Inspector
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Our Client is a specialist manufacturer processing advanced polymers and producing high-precision components for customers worldwide. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join their shop floor team.
The Role
You will be responsible for inspecting precision components to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications, using a range of manual measuring equipment.
Key Responsibilities

• Inspecting components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
• Using calipers, verniers, and micrometers to carry out dimensional checks
• Performing first-off, in-process, and final inspections
• Recording inspection results and maintaining accurate quality documentation
• Identifying non-conformances and working with production teams to resolve issues
• Supporting continuous improvement and quality standards on the shop floor

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quality Assurance / Inspection role
• Confident using calipers, verniers, and micrometers
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Hours

• Day Shift: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Late Shift: 4-day week (39 hours total)
  • Monday-Wednesday: 1:30pm - Midnight
  • Thursday: 1:30pm - 11:00pm
  • Friday: Off
  • Includes up to 20% shift allowance on the basic hourly rate
