You will also act as the key point of contact for Health, Safety and Environmental matters on site.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone from an engineering background (although not essential) who is comfortable working with shop-floor teams as well as customers and auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, update and improve the company QMS to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, EN 3834 and ASME U requirements.

- Create, review and control quality procedures, work instructions and forms.
- Lead and support HSE activities on site, including risk assessments, method statements and accident/incident investigations.
- Monitor quality and HSE KPIs, analyse non-conformances and drive corrective/preventive actions.
- Support production and projects with quality/HSE input at enquiry, contract review and manufacturing stages.
- Promote a culture of right-first-time and safe working.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a quality/HSE position (experience in an engineering environment would be advantageous).
- Solid working knowledge of ISO 9001 — plus exposure to EN 3834 and/or ASME U will be a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of HSE legislation and good practice in the UK.
- Experience of internal auditing and document control.
- Strong communicator able to influence at all levels.
- Methodical, detail-focused and able to work independently.
- NEBOSH/IOSH qualification or willingness to work towards it (desirable).
- Experience implementing or maintaining ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 would be a distinct advantage.
What We Offer
- Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per year (DOE)
- Opportunity to lead certification projects (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 19443)
- Training and development support
- Company pension
- On-site parking
- Working for a well-established engineering business with a strong reputation
