Vehicle Technician
We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled vehicle Technician/MOT Tester to join our family run service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting various types of mechanical work including Servicing, Diagnostics, Clutches, Cambelts, Brakes, Air Conditioning, Tyres, Suspension & other vehicle maintenance tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive maintenance and a keen eye for detail to contribute to vehicle safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
Carry out servicing, repairs & other vehicle maintenance in a timely manner.
Prepare Sales Vehicles for Retail & carry out Warranty repairs when required.
Ensure the workshop is stocked, presentable & well maintained.
Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines during all working procedures.
Conduct MOT Tests if a qualified Tester & recognized with the DVSA.
Requirements
Proven mechanical knowledge with an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised testing equipment.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or components.
Previous experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar role is desirable but not essential; relevant training will be provided for the right candidate.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
Good communication skills to explain findings clearly to customers and team members.
