We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Leasing Agent to join our newly formed team at UniLodge Auckland Central on a full-time permanent basis (40 hours per week across Monday to Friday).
Your role will be responsible for driving leasing performance across a newly built student accommodation asset comprising of 758 rooms in a landmark property set behind a heritage façade. The building includes extensive common areas, a large gym, and retail space, offering residents a premium living experience in the heart of the CBD.
As the Leasing Agent, you will play a key role in maximising occupancy, reducing vacancy, and contributing to the overall performance of the property. Working closely with on-site and national management teams, you will lead the leasing journey from enquiry through to lease execution and renewal, while building strong partnerships and delivering strategies that support occupancy and resident satisfaction.

The Role & Property
As the Leasing Agent for UniLodge Auckland Central, you will be responsible for all aspects of the leasing function, supported by the on-site and national management team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and commercially minded professional to make their mark in the student accommodation sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead leasing activity to maximise occupancy and minimise vacancy in line with financial targets
- Work closely with the General Manager, asset owners, and internal teams to implement leasing strategies that support revenue growth and resident satisfaction
- Negotiate new leases and renewals with confidence, balancing rental yield, occupancy, and market conditions
- Build and maintain a strong leasing pipeline through proactive outreach, business development, and strategic partnerships
- Promote the unique value of the property, including its premium amenities, resident experience, and lifestyle offering
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing to inform leasing strategy and improve conversion outcomes
- Develop and maintain key partnerships that support resident attraction and leasing performance
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring prior leasing experience in residential property or a related sector, along with a proactive and strategic approach to occupancy performance. You will be confident in building relationships, identifying opportunities, and balancing short-term leasing outcomes with longer-term resident retention.
You will also have:
- Previous experience in the real estate or residential property industry
- A strong understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act 1986
- Solid commercial acumen and knowledge of relevant legislation
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Unrestricted working rights in New Zealand
- A valid National Police Check
- Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday
