About the Role:
  
As General Manager, you will take ownership of a dynamic student accommodation community comprising four residential buildings and 842 beds, leading a team of approximately 10 staff plus Residential Advisors while overseeing all aspects of operational, financial and commercial performance.

Balancing strategic leadership with day-to-day operational excellence, you'll champion resident wellbeing, create an outstanding resident experience, build strong relationships with key stakeholders including James Cook University, and foster a culture where both students and team members can thrive. This role also participates in an after-hours on-call roster and offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact while leading a high-profile property within the UniLodge JCU Townsville portfolio.

What You’ll Do:
  
At a glance, you will:

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing frontline team, fostering a positive and accountable culture.
• Create an outstanding resident experience where students feel supported, connected and engaged.
• Drive strong operational and financial performance, managing budgets and delivering on key performance indicators.
• Build trusted stakeholder relationships with James Cook University and other key partners.
• Oversee property operations to ensure excellence in presentation, compliance and service delivery.

About You:

You are an authentic and commercially minded leader who knows how to inspire teams, build relationships and drive results. You will also bring:

• Leadership experience in student accommodation, hospitality, property or a related service environment.
• A proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong commercial and financial management capability.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Valid National Police Check + WWCC
