About the Role: 
 
This is a dynamic role that combines community leadership, student wellbeing, people management and property operations.

As Residential Life & Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating an outstanding resident experience, overseeing residential life programs, supporting student wellbeing initiatives, driving occupancy outcomes and leading a high-performing onsite team.

Working closely with university stakeholders, residents, staff and external partners, you'll help cultivate a supportive and vibrant residential community that enhances students' academic, social and personal success.

Here's What You'll Do: 

• Create an exceptional resident experience by fostering a welcoming, inclusive and supportive community where students can thrive both socially and academically.
• Lead residential life initiatives and community engagement programs, including wellbeing activities, events and resident support initiatives.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of a 300-bed residence, ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, presentation and service delivery.
• Lead and develop a small, high-performing team, including full-time team members and Residential Advisors, to deliver outstanding outcomes for residents.
• Build strong relationships with students, university stakeholders and internal teams while supporting occupancy, retention and operational objectives.

Skills & Experience: 

You'll be an energetic and empathetic leader with a genuine passion for student success and community engagement. To succeed in this role, you will also bring: 

• Demonstrated experience within student accommodation, higher education, hospitality, residential communities or a similar service-focused environment
• Strong understanding of student wellbeing, pastoral care or resident engagement programs
• Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to motivate and develop teams
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• AU Working Rights, Blue Card and Valid National Police Check.
