The Role
We are seeking an ambitious individual to bring their flair for creative ideas and strategies, to a role where you can make a very real impact on student resident wellbeing. Your role will be instrumental in promoting and advocating for residential wellbeing, with an emphasis on pastoral care and academic matters. You will have the opportunity to develop and organise a comprehensive calendar of events for residents, to enrich their educational, cultural, and social experience.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership and support in the management and development of the Residential Life and Wellbeing Program at the property
- Provide exceptional service to all residents, staff, university departments, visitors, suppliers, contractors, and associated organisations
- Establish and maintain a constructive and productive working relationship with all key stakeholders
- Recruit, train, develop and be responsible for the Residential Advisor team
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in similar role, including wellbeing and mental health literacy
- Tertiary Education in Psychology or Education – highly desirable
- Experience in events planning and implementation, and management of budgets
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams
- Strong interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills
- High level competency in a range of software packages including MS Publisher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Confidence to manage and resolve conflict in a diverse environment
Our mandatory requirements include:
- National Police Check (completed within last 3 months), at your own cost.
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia
- Current Working with Children’s Check (VIC)
- Flexible availability to accommodate after hours and on call duty as required.
