Role Overview:
As Maintenance Manager, you will oversee facilities and building maintenance, ensuring UniLodge meets all codes, regulations, and service standards while maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage the overall maintenance of apartments, commons areas, and building exteriors, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance, safety and security
- Establish and implement preventative maintenance programs, ensuring compliance and company health and safety procedures, as well as industry and statutory regulations
- Record, report and assist the General Manager in managing all building defects
- Assist in the development and management of maintenance budgets
- Manage external contractors, ensuring timely progress and providing updates to the General Manager.
Note: Additional hours may be required for urgent works, modification and emergency call-outs. About You: To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years experience in general property and grounds maintenance and repairs. You will also possess a 'safety-first' mindset, and an understanding of basic OH&S principles and chemical handling. More about you:
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Confident computer skills including ability to use various systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Trade qualification will be highly regarded
- Valid Class C Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle
- QLD Working with Children's Check (Blue Card)
- Valid National Police Check
