Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Bristol, are looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their construction operations.  

Position: Contract Manager
Location: Bristol
Salary:  £525 a day umbrella inside IR35
Hours: Monday - Friday / 9am - 5pm 
Contract: Until October 2025 (possible extension)

Purpose:

• To lead on contractual performance and delivery, providing commercial leadership and strategic interventions to maximize value for money in line with the commercial terms of contracts and the council’s commercial assurance framework, e.g. contract rules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as strategic lead on any commercial matters, including supplier review meetings, contract variations, negotiations & re-negotiations.
• Provide commercial assurance and strategic commercial direction including the co-ordination of related projects delivered through the contract.
• Ensure effective monitoring to secure contract compliance including appropriate lines of supplier engagement.
• Undertake timely performance reporting including the reporting of key risks/issues, inline with the agreed reporting framework.
• Undertake contract reviews in response to specific risk/issues, to include periodic reviews, e.g. benchmarking/market testing.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least  year experience within a Contract Manager role or equivalent.
• NEC4 ECC Project Manager Accreditation (NEC4 PM Accreditation).
• Strong working knowledge of the NEC4 suite of contracts, particularly the NEC4 FMC (Facilities Management Contract) or similar Term Service Contracts (TSC).
• Demonstrable experience in the mobilisation, implementation, and management of NEC-based term contracts.
