We are currently seeking a Residential Life Assistant (RLA) to join the UniLodge Canterbury team covering Campus Houses. This role involves supporting a large cohort of students through one-on-one interactions and referrals to support services. Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Be an active member of the Residential Life Team  
• Connect with residents on a one-on-one basis and in groups and refer them to appropriate services  
• Support the Property Manager Operations on student matters and general operations  
• Attend and contribute to a variety of student events and meetings 
• Maintain an accurate database of your interactions with students  
• Attend regular training to stay up to date with student concerns  
• Attend Residential Life Assistant meetings periodically to discuss student concerns  
• Work a flexible 40-hour-per-week roster across Monday to Sunday, hours to be aligned with student availability  

  
What you’ll need to succeed 

• A can-do attitude  
• Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one  
• Hold a current Mental Health First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one  
• Flexible working times – you will support a cohort of up to 160 residents by having individual, motivational and positively focused check-in conversations with them  

  
Desired Skillset 

• Experience working in student support, student advising, or residential care settings  
• Ideal for a graduate or someone wanting to begin or progress a career in student accommodation  
• Primary focus is students at Campus Houses but also available to support students at Kirkwood Avenue Hall and Dovedale Campus when needed.
