BRC are working closely with a housing association to recruit an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join their Customer Directorate within the Housing department.
This role involves managing and resolving cases of anti-social behaviour, hate crime, and domestic violence. You will investigate concerns, work closely with customers and external agencies, and implement strategies to reduce and prevent future ASB. This is a customer-focused role aimed at improving residents’ quality of life and feelings of safety within their communities.
Duties: - Manage and investigate all Anti-Social Behaviour, Hate Crime, and Domestic Violence cases.
- Gather evidence, interview relevant parties, and take appropriate action in line with policies and legislation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers, legal advisors, neighbourhood police, and local authorities.
- Attend multi-agency meetings and case conferences as required.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with community partners and service providers.
- Ensure residents and complainants are kept informed and supported throughout case progression.
- Deliver educational workshops and awareness campaigns to promote positive behaviour and community cohesion.
- Keep accurate records and ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations.
- Support preparation of reports on service outcomes and team performance.
- Identify service improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support resident involvement and community engagement events and consultations.
- Keep up to date with housing legislation and best practice.
Requirements: - Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
- Experience of managing anti-social behaviour cases.
- Experience working in social housing or a similar environment.
- Good knowledge of relevant anti-social behaviour and housing legislation.
- Understanding of tenancy enforcement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to remain calm and resolve conflict effectively.
- Experience working with external agencies and stakeholders.
- Proactive, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Clear DBS check.
- Ability to travel independently to visit customers and properties.
