Contract IT Project Coordinator

We're working with a large, complex organisation in the engineering / manufacturing sector undertaking a significant enterprise-wide transformation. This contract role sits within a high-profile delivery program and will suit a strong PMO / Project Controls professional who enjoys operating in fast-paced, large-scale environments.

Day Rate:
$850-$900/day 
Contract Length: Initial 6 months with a strong likelihood of extension
Location: Sydney
Start: ASAP / short notice preferred
 
The Role:
You'll support a major transformation program by delivering core PMO and project controls activities, partnering closely with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to ensure strong governance, reporting, and delivery discipline.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering PMO activities and artefacts including risk & issue management, reporting, schedule maintenance and benefits tracking
• Improving and embedding project reporting, monitoring processes and governance standards
• Assisting with cost forecasting, financial status reporting and cashflow analysis
• Maintaining project and program documentation within SharePoint
• Building strong working relationships with Project Managers and key delivery stakeholders to support successful outcomes

 
About You:

• Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business Management or a related discipline
• Relevant project or program management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMI)
• 3+ years' experience in a Project Coordinator role within complex, fast-paced environments (engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure, banking, telco or similar)
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change in large transformation programs
• Highly proactive, detail-oriented and professional, with strong integrity
• Collaborative communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience with SAP EPPM, Microsoft Project Online or similar PM tools
