Architecture Governance Specialist

A large, complex enterprise environment is seeking an Architecture Governance Specialist to play a key role within its Enterprise Architecture function, ensuring architectural standards, principles and governance processes are embedded across technology delivery.
This role sits at the intersection of architecture and delivery — not designing solutions, but ensuring architectural decision-making is structured, traceable and consistently applied.

The Role

You'll work closely with Enterprise and Solution Architects to ensure architecture governance operates with discipline and visibility across a broad portfolio of initiatives. You will be responsible for the flow of architectural artefacts, governance reviews, standards adoption and compliance tracking across the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate architecture governance forums, review boards and checkpoints
• Ensure architectural artefacts (concept and solution level) are prepared, submitted and tracked through review and approval
• Maintain registers for architecture decisions, baselines, exemptions, risks and compliance
• Support the consistent application of architecture standards, guardrails and principles
• Prepare governance packs and circulate decision material to architecture stakeholders
• Work with PMO and delivery teams to ensure architecture engagement at key approval stages
• Track governance metrics and identify process gaps or bottlenecks
• Contribute to uplift of architecture governance processes, templates and documentation

What We're Looking For

• Experience in architecture governance, technical governance, PMO governance, or IT assurance
• Exposure to Enterprise or Solution Architecture environments
• Strong process, coordination and documentation capability
• Experience supporting review forums, boards or design authorities
• Understanding of technology delivery lifecycles and structured governance practices

Highly regarded:

• Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
• Experience working with structured architecture documentation and review processes
