Sydney Metro is leading Australia's biggest public transport infrastructure program, developing and delivering a new world-class metro railway system for Sydney. 
 
This includes management of a team of business analysts, change, training and project and program managers ensuring business needs and IT commitments are met and relevant scope is delivered on time, to budget and quality assured.  
 
 
The role responsibilities: 

• Lead Sydney Metro's digital transformation programs across construction and IT operations technology, digital engineering, and enterprise IT initiatives —delivering high‑value initiatives on time, on budget and with measurable outcomes. 
• Provide decisive, hands‑on delivery leadership across multiple programs, cutting through complexity to restore clarity, drive momentum and strengthen confidence in delivery. 
• Establish disciplined portfolio governance, financial oversight and executive‑ready reporting that supports sound decision‑making and a clear prioritised alignment of technology initiatives to achieve business priorities. 
• Translate operational and technology needs into actionable delivery plans, while managing interdependencies across construction tech, digital engineering, data platforms and enterprise systems. 
• Lift capability across multidisciplinary delivery, change, IT and architecture teams, while shaping high‑performing vendor and partner engagements that maximise value and ensure delivery excellence. 

 
Experience needed: 

• You are an inspiring digital and technology delivery leader with a proven ability to steer complex, multi‑stream portfolios in high‑accountability environments.  
• You're confident operating as an executive escalation point, making clear, grounded decisions while balancing pace, governance and risk particularly in a highly regulated or public‑sector settings. 
• 15 years experience across IT program and project delivery, change, business analysis and agile practices,  
• Capability to translate operational and technology needs into actionable delivery plans.  
• Skilled in vendor and commercial management, you build trust quickly and com. municate with clarity, ensuring stakeholders understand progress, risks and trade‑offs. 
• You uplift capability across teams, strengthen delivery discipline and turn strategy into real, measurable outcomes.  
• Most importantly, you're a strategic thinker who can translate business needs into executable plans while maintaining the highest standards of integrity in public sector delivery
