Overview:
Our host company is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern to assist in the preparation of estimates and quotations for building and civil projects. The ideal candidate will possess a detail-oriented mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service and support to contractors and vendors.
- Utilize knowledge of building and construction to ensure proper execution of projects.
- Assist the lead estimator with paperwork, legalities, and risk assessments.
- Gather data for project estimates and maintain databases for documentation.
- Collaborate with contractors to enhance bidding success and project delivery.
- Prepare project updates and maintain detailed schedules for administration tasks and site activities.
- Review data and documents including analysis reports and purchase orders.
- Advocate for high-quality execution of policies and procedures.
- Identify and report any risks and hazards associated with projects.
- Prepare training documents and facilitate training sessions as needed.
Requirements: - Candidates must be willing to learn and be proactive.
- Strong multitasking abilities and effective communication skills in English.
- Minimum internship duration of 3 to 6 months, with a preference for those willing to accept a job offer post-internship.
- Availability for 5 days per week from the start date.
