Role Overview We are seeking an experienced
Delivery Lead / Project Manager to support a strategic Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Systems program within a Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading delivery across business, technical, and vendor teams, ensuring successful execution of project milestones, system enhancements, integrations, testing activities, releases, and operational changes. This role requires a strong project delivery background combined with experience working within Aerospace, Aviation, Airline Operations, or MRO environments.
Given the operational nature of the program, the Project Manager must be comfortable supporting critical deployments, major releases, cutovers, and production events, including evenings, weekends, or overnight implementation windows when required.
Key Responsibilities - Lead delivery activities supporting a complex aviation maintenance systems program.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate activities across business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and operational support groups.
- Manage application-related workstreams and ensure alignment with overall program objectives and timelines.
- Drive stakeholder engagement across maintenance, engineering, operations, and technology teams.
- Coordinate testing activities, defect management, deployment planning, and go-live readiness assessments.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships and ensure delivery commitments are achieved.
- Track and communicate project status through established governance forums and leadership updates.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Support change management activities and evaluate impacts to scope, schedule, resources, and delivery commitments.
- Provide leadership and coordination during major releases, implementations, cutovers, and critical program events.
- Support operationally critical activities outside standard business hours when required.
Required Qualifications - 11+ years of Project Management and Delivery Leadership experience.
- Proven experience leading complex enterprise application implementations, upgrades, migrations, or transformation initiatives.
- Experience delivering projects within Aerospace, Aviation, Airline Operations, or MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) environments.
- Strong understanding of maintenance operations, engineering systems, or aircraft maintenance business processes.
- Experience managing enterprise application platforms supporting operationally critical business functions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders.
- Experience managing project risks, dependencies, testing cycles, deployment activities, and governance reporting.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in large enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and executive reporting skills.
- Ability and willingness to support key project milestones, major releases, and critical implementation activities outside regular business hours when required.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with TRAX or comparable Aircraft Maintenance, Engineering, Maintenance Management, or MRO software platforms.
- Experience supporting airline maintenance operations or aviation technology programs.
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance planning, maintenance execution, engineering, or regulatory compliance processes.
- Experience with enterprise application integrations and vendor-managed platforms.
- Experience supporting cloud migration, application modernization, or transformation programs.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.
